David Vlogs Around the World

In 2025 I began vlogging. I enjoy making videos, I love traveling, and I thought it would be neat to document at least some of the places I go and the things I do.

That said, I also think it’s important to not hide behind the camera too much. One rule I have for myself is to not fall into the trap of trying to get good footage at the cost of being present and actually experiencing where I am. It can be challenging managing the FOMO between “I’m having a fantastic experience” and “I should capture this on video because it’ll look great on YouTube when I edit it a month from now.”

Like everything, vlogging is a skill, and managing all of this is also a skill. I wish I had picked it up years before, as there are so many places I have been that I didn’t capture in video and would love to be able to look back on. But better late than never.

I’ve created the travel category on this blog to discuss travel and any posts I make that contain links to actual videos will be tagged Travel_Vlog. My hope is years from now I’ll be able to look back on this and if I am sick, or just want to share some of the experiences I’ve had around the world with someone I can reference these videos.
