Recipe - Haleem
Ingredients
Makes 12 Servings
3 poundsChicken Breast.1 boxShan easy cook haleem mix.1 large Onion.0.25 cupscooking oil.

- Pressure Cooker
- Blender / Hand Mixer
Instructions
- In pressure cooker, heat
0.25 cups oilwith Saute setting. Brown chicken on all sides. - Add
3 pounds chickenand 8 cups of water to pressure cooker. This does not need to be exact, adding more water later is easy. - Add Shan Masala (spice packet from box of
Shan easy cook haleem mix) to pressure cooker. - Pressure cook high for 17 minutes. Natural release.
- DO NOT THROW OUT BROTH IN PRESSURE COOKER. Remove chicken from broth and blend using blender, hand mixer, or forks. The more blended the chicken, the thicker the Haleem will be.
- Add Shan grains and pulses (from box of
Shan easy cook haleem mix) to broth. - Add blended
chickento broth. - Saute on medium heat 30 minutes. Stir frequently, making sure bottom does not burn.
- Chop
onioninto long strings and fry with oil. Useonionas garnish.
